Who can organise a memorial?
All memorials require written permission from a right of burial holder. We are unable to commence work without this authorisation as all work we do in cemeteries must first be approved by the trust.
What is right of burial?
A right of burial holder is a person who has purchased a right of burial from a cemetery trust (generally whoever paid for the plot or grave site). It may also be referred to as right of interment.
This right of burial includes the right to determine the type of memorial to be established. This means you must be a right of burial holder to decide and authorise what type of memorial is put on the grave site, and what lettering will go on the headstone.
If you are unsure who holds the right of burial please contact your relevant cemetery trust.

How much will it cost?
The cost of a memorial depends on:
How long will it take?
We are a small, family owned and operated business. We understand this can be a difficult time, however establishing a memorial may take time, sometimes several months.
The time frame may depend on things including quarrying of the stone, application to the cemetery trust, your approval of the proof and work for other families too.
Weather may also cause delays in on site works. Additional inscriptions are done on site, so this will depend upon the weather too.
What are cemetery fees?
All Victorian cemetery work may require a cemetery fee to be paid for establishing or altering a memorial. We collect this fee and send it to the cemetery trust. The fees are set by the health department.
These fees are different to the ones you may have already paid to the funeral director or cemetery trust, eg paying for a plot.
